Following is information for Orie Varner:
Orie enjoys helping students with integrating international education experiences into their degree plan and with financial planning to make study abroad dreams a reality.
Orie earned a Master of Public Service and Administration from the Bush School of Government and Public Service. Prior to attending the Bush School, Orie received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and was a fellow with the Institute for International Public Policy.
Orie joined the Study Abroad Programs Office at Texas A&M in October of 2006. Orie’s areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:
- General walk-in advising,
- Outgoing reciprocal exchanges,
- Faculty led programs, and
- Serving as the Texas A&M study abroad advisor for the Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship and the Freeman-ASIA Award
Additionally, Orie has visited China, Ecuador, England, Germany, Italy, Morocco, Peru, and Portugal.
