Texas A&M BIMS Spanish Certificate Study Abroad
March 9-March 17, 2013

Texas A&M and Sol Education Abroad are offering an innovative undergraduate program in Medical Spanish and community service to provide cultural immersion.
Travel to Costa Rica for Spring Break! Fulfill your study abroad requirement for the BIMS International Certificate in Cultural Competency & Communication in Spanish.
This is a 9-day meaningful spring break program to immerse yourself in the wonders of tropical Costa Rica. This program is open to all Texas A&M students and in particular, it is aimed at allowing BIMS students an experience to complete their 9-day international requirement for the BIMS Spanish Certificate. This program is an amazing week full of language and cultural immersion activities, medical Spanish terminology, community service, homestay and excursions.
Sol Education Abroad coordinates the program in association with Texas A&M University. Sol Education Abroad organizes all on-site programming aspects such as housing, meals, cultural activities, excursions, community service, resident director support, and much more.
$1,395 Program Price includes: Orientation & Planning from Texas A&M, Accommodation with a local host family (includes 3 meals/day and laundry), Cultural activities including a traditional cooking class, dance class and city tours, Excursions including white-water rafting and the Poás Volcano National Park, Community service at a local school and wildlife rescue center, Ground transportation to/from San Jose International airport and program location, Medical insurance (Atlas), Pre-departure orientation/planning and assistance with Sol Education Abroad, and Study Abroad administrative fee.
Price does not include: Round-trip international airfare from U.S. to San Jose, Costa Rica (estimated $900), Passport fees (~$135), Personal spending money. (~$100)

Eligibility: 2.0 minimum GPA and be in good standing with the University.
