Scholarship Requirements
Study Abroad is continuously striving to fund Texas A&M students who wish to go abroad. Because of this purpose, we request for each student who receives money from the Study Abroad Fellowship to complete minor requirements for their support. In effect, these requirements that are completed by the students help us in substantiating funding for future Aggies. Please select the scholarship that you received:

Applications

Online Faculty-Led Program Application
To become a participant on one of our faculty-led programs, please begin the application process here. Once applications becomes available, you will need to complete the online application, print out the "Signature Form", sign it, and take it to the respective professor for signature (office & phone number for professor will be presented on form). Once the professor has signed this form, bring it along with the signed Terms of Participation in to the Study Abroad Office (Bizzell Hall West, First Floor).

Outgoing deadlines:

  • 10 September for exchanges starting in the spring
  • 1 March for programs starting in the fall

    Incoming deadlines:

  • 15 September for exchanges starting in the spring (January)
  • 1 March for exchanges starting in the fall (August)

    Both A&M students going to a foreign institution and students from our partner universities planning studies at A&M should be in contact with an advisor who is familiar with the exchange programs. Please do not submit application materials without first consulting your exchange advisor. If you have any questions, please contact Ben Petty, Study Abroad Advisor for reciprocal exchange students.

    Online Independent Study for Credit Application
    If you are planning on studying abroad independently (through a program or directly enrolling at a foreign university that is not sponsored by Texas A&M) and receiving an official transcript from an accredited or recognized institution, to receive credit approval for the course(s) that you are taking, you will need to fill out the Texas A&M Study Abroad Independent Study Abroad for Credit Application (login with your NetID and click on "Begin/Update Independent Study Application"). Unless this application is completed and signed by all required parties, there is no guarantee that the coursework will be accepted.


    Student Forms

    Interest Lists  
    To sign up on an interest list for one of our programs, please fill out this form and submit online. These provide a way for you to get on specific program interest lists that will be used by the coordinator of each program to notify students of any deadlines, news, or changes for that particular program.

    Emergency Contact Form
    If you are a Texas A&M student going on a study abroad program, a departmental reciprocal exchange program, a research abroad, an international internship, or any other credit-bearing program abroad, please take a moment to complete our emergency contacts form. This information is shared with the Critical Incidence Response Team (CIRT) and will be used in the event of an emergency. Please be aware that this form is combined with our applications database, and therefore creation of an account is required. Furthermore, students completing applications through Study Abroad will already have this information completed.

    Online Orientation Forms  
    For programs coordinated through the Study Abroad office, it is required to fill out orientation forms as part of the pre-departure process. These forms are located in the application system and will become available during the semester prior to your departure. Please complete these orientation forms and update them regularly prior to departure.
