What majors can attend the program?

All majors are eligible for the program.

Who is the professor that will take the program?

Dr. Duane Schlitter will take the program due to his experience in Africa and his expertise from the first program in '02. There will probably be another professor going along to teach as well.

What is the program cost?

For 2002, the program cost was $4200, which included your airfare (the most expensive item), accommodations and meals, guest speakers, land travel inside South Africa, insurance, and admin costs. The only costs not included are your tuition and fees and spending money.

What scholarships am I eligible for?

Our study abroad office offers two scholarships: the Fellowship which is need-based and the IEFS (International Education Fee Scholarship) which is merit-based. There may also be scholarships available in your dept (ie. the Ag dept offers the COALS scholarship).
