Ryan Anderson
Finance and Accounting
Ryan is a
junior Accounting major from
Magnolia, Texas. He plans to enter
the Professional Program of
Accounting and is also pursuing an
International Business Certificate
and a minor in Russian.
His long term
goal is to try to improve the
quality of life and standard of
living in Africa through
microfinance and economic
development. He hopes that AFIL
will be instrumental in creating
contacts and opportunities to help
get him started.
Ryan was born
in Germany and has lived in Russia
and traveled extensively throughout
Europe and Africa, and he credits
these unique experiences with
stimulating his interest in
international affairs and
international experience. He is
very passionate about learning from
other cultures and establishing
international communication, along
with making a difference and helping
others when they are ignored by the
rest of the world.
While at Texas
A&M University, Ryan has been a part
of several organizations, including
the Business Honors Program, Aggies
Selflessly Serving in Shaping
Tomorrow (ASSIST), the Big Event, an
officer of the International
Business Association, and a
counselor at Impact. Ryan is looking forward to gleaning
the wisdom and experience that AFIL
offers and is excited about using
what he will learn to pour back into
the international community.
