Trisha Winkle

Study Abroad Advisor I

Trish recently joined the Study Abroad Programs Office in July 2018 and coordinates Faculty-Led programs.   She hails from Forked River, New Jersey, a small town that boarders the Barnegat Bay.  After her undergraduate semester abroad in Sydney, she graduated with a Bachelor’s in Recreation, Leisure Studies and Tourism from Montclair State University. Since then she’s lived in Australia two more times; one utilizing the Work and Holiday Visa program, working for Greenwich English College as a Student Services Officer, and the other to complete her Master’s in Applied Linguistics from Bond University.  Her other experience with Higher Education includes working at the University of Connecticut Health Center as the Internationals Human Resources Associate where she advised incoming F-1 and J-1 students.  Trish has also worked with international students during her time at AIFS in their Camp America division. Trisha has traveled to 26 countries to date with Iceland and China at the top of her list to still visit.  When she’s not working she enjoys coaching field hockey and softball.
