Ilana joined the study abroad office in 2015. She works with faculty-led programs and reciprocal educational exchange programs (REEPs), and she advises for the Critical Language and Freeman-Asia scholarships. She holds an M.Ed. in Postsecondary Administration and Student Affairs from the University of Southern California and a B.S. in Secondary Education and Spanish from Vanderbilt University. During high school, she spent a summer studying in Israel and got hooked on study abroad. She went on to spend a semester of college in Chile and later worked in Uruguay organizing spring break service trips for American college students. She has traveled extensively around the world, yet her “places to visit” list never seems to get any shorter.
